Audrey’s Letters

Insights for the Journey of Life

Audrey’s Letters: Insights for the Journey of Life, by Audrey Clay, co-edited by Gail Palpant and Jill Breckel. Adrian, MI: The Author, 2008.

Audrey Clay epitomizes the personality of Jesus as described in Galatians 5:22-23. Words like love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control characterize her life. In fact, she exudes them.

For more than 50 years Audrey has lived out the principles in this book. She and her husband pastored one of America’s truly great churches (Bethany Assembly of God, Adrian, Michigan) for 22 years. Then after Art Clay’s untimely death she continued to serve the church as music director, minister to young married couples, pastoral care, counseling, encouraging, caring for widows and shut-ins – the list of her ministry assignments are varied and vast. During those years, she raised three children who are impacting the world through their spiritual leadership.

Audrey’s insights for life’s journey are the result of a life-time filled with loving God and trusting Him to meet her every need. Her letters are faithful, practical and scriptural.

The insights in this book, if acted upon, will encourage you to see the personality of Jesus stamped on your life. Read it with anticipation and see what God does. With much enthusiasm I recommend this book to all of you who, like me, need encouragement for life’s journey.

–William F. Leach, Superintendent, Michigan District Council of the Assemblies of God
